Miami, Florida, September 29, 2015 – Wynwood, a former district of warehouses, garment wholesalers, and industrial businesses, is maturing into an artists’ mecca thanks to Fortis Development Group. Fortis’ 250 Wynwood, an 11-unit, mixed-use project with residential over ground-floor retail, is the first new construction development in this arts district in over a decade. Occupancy is slated for the end of summer, and the units are already sold out. Fortis is currently designing a second mixed-use residential and retail project, which will be located at 230 NW 24th Street. Ground breaking is anticipated for early 2016.

This project’s architecture is very artistic and unique. The entire build process is being documented by Multivista South Florida, the leading construction photo documentation firm that delivers ‘visual as-built’ records from beginning to end. Multivista provides the project team with access to its comprehensive, inspection-grade construction photos via its easy-to-use an online platform.

“The art aspect is such an integral part of Wynwood. We felt it was absolutely necessary to have both Progression and Exact-Built® photography of the build process,” says Andrew Lenahan, General Contractor/Partner of Fortis, referring to the thousands of photos that Multivista photographers have taken to date. “We use Multivista on virtually every project because we know they will deliver quality images. It has become a vital tool for us; every photo is embedded within our plans and easy to retrieve at a moment’s notice. It’s incredible how much time this saves us when we need to pinpoint a specific area or issue,” continued Lenahan.

The mural-art that graces Wynwood will carry over to every balcony of the entire 250 Wynwood building. Each mural painted will be unique and chosen by Miami gallerist and Art Basel exhibitor Anthony Spinello. “Our photo documentation of 250 Wynwood is very meaningful, especially for this community,” says Kristi Vick, Owner of the Multivista South Florida location. “We are able to aid Fortis in tracking progress as it relates to the construction schedule and also assist Fortis with quality control and the preservation of the neighboring properties,” continued Vick.

“Multivista has been a tremendous asset for us maintaining our goal of staying true to the neighborhood’s traditional style with this art program,” Lenahan explains. “By providing quality and timely photography, Multivista enabled us to document the art application process without inhibiting the artist’s schedule and workspace.”
