VA Goes Green with Solar Field Addition

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS PROJECT LAS VEGAS – A jewel in the desert

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is a beacon for veterans across the country. The department shines by providing America’s veterans top-notch facilities and the most comprehensive system of assistance available today. Their newest venture, the Photovoltaic project at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in North Las Vegas, creates a veterans care facility that will be environmentally sustainable for years to come.

An extension of the largest Veterans Affairs Medical Center project to date, the sustainable Photovoltaic project includes a 10-acre solar field combined with four large parking canopies housing approximately 200,000 total square feet of solar panels that will create renewable energy for the 1 million square foot medical campus.
