The Fairmont Pacific Rim at Coal Harbour in Vancouver, a 48-storey, 1.1 million square foot multi-use project, and the largest building in downtown Vancouver, was successfully opened just in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
As the leader in construction documentation, Multivista understands the “just-in-time” nature of construction. It is for this reason that full coverage of every major milestone during construction is organized and accessible to the entire project team within 24 hours. Multivista was proud to be one of the chosen collaboration technologies utilized for the timely delivery of this landmark project.
“Multivista’s professional documentation methodology was critical to the project controls on the Fairmont Pacific Rim. 299BDI made constant use of the digital archives in the scheduling coordination, progress reviews, and tracking of changes. It is a valuable technology which should become standard practice for companies at the leading edge of this business.” ~ Simon Holwill, Project Director / Construction Manager, 299 Burrard Development
The project features a five-star hotel with over 400 guest rooms and suites on the first 22 floors, and 175 luxury estate residences on the upper 26 floors.
Multivista would like to thank the team at 299 Burrard Development for their tremendous help in coordinating this massive documentation. Over the course of 3 years, Multivista managed the documentation through digital photography and architectural indexing that resulted in over 100,000 images on this project.
We were proud to be recognized during the Fairmont project by the 2009 Constructech Vision Awards as a winner in the technology enabler category – but because our clients shape our technology, our true pride lies in being recognized by the Fairmont’s developers as a trusted partner. Thank you to them and all of our clients for making 2009 a flagship year in Canada.
