Photographic Construction Documentation in Iowa

For over 5 years, Multivista’s been involved with several new projects for the Iowa City Community School District. They’ve been able to coordinate around critical milestones such as the underground utilities and MEP rough-ins that have been covered during construction while making sure there are accurate photographic records we can check back on at any time. We’ve appreciated their ability to work with our project teams and provide training so our staff members can fully utilize their many new technologies from a single project website and mobile app.

Watts Groups utilization of Multivista for construction photos prior to covering up MEP’s during construction has been incredible. We retain the majority of the multi-family buildings that we construct and turn over to our property management department. The construction photos help us train the maintenance crew on the buildings and then allows them to diagnose issues.

We’ve used Multivista on two projects including a new addition and the renovation of our administrative offices. In addition to the records and photographs we already had, their service provided a critical tool allowing us to pinpoint critical areas needing urgent attention behind walls and above ceilings. Multivista’s platform also gives us the ability to more easily share information since everything’s online.

Finley Hospital has made great use of our project photos when adding new features to our spaces as needs change. We can research locations of all the various utilities in the walls, and we can locate areas where blocking may have already been installed. Those photos taken just prior to sheetrock have proven invaluable. They also are very helpful when chasing down issues when we’re troubleshooting. We also have made great use of the videos of training sessions upon taking possession of our new facilities. We were able to capture all the training of our maintenance staff in operating all the mechanical and electrical systems. Those videos are a great tool for refreshing their knowledge as time goes on, and they are also a tremendous asset when it comes time to on-board new staff. Multivista staff were great to work with, and the quality of their product is top drawer.
