The city sent the GC a $96K bill for damage done to the project’s surrounding streets and sidewalks. Using our photographic Pre-construction Site Survey, the Owner and GC were able to exonerate themselves within 24 hours, demonstrating conclusively that the conditions identified by the City were pre-existing.
A project included over 200 residential Units; After drywall was 90% complete, it was discovered that the washer/dryer hook-ups in every Unit were installed improperly. The plumbing sub-contractor claimed that “congested conditions in the walls required an impromptu work-around and rejected the costs of correcting the installations”. The GC immediately pulled up the Interior MEP Exact-Built™, which captured the plumbing systems just before insulation. The same day the problem was discovered, and without any destructive testing, the GC was able to show conclusively in EVERY Unit that the conflict complained of by the plumbing sub-contractor did not exist. The cost of correction, over $20,000, fell where it belonged, on the sub-contractor.
A large project was owned and designed by an out-of-state team, with one principal out-of-country owner. Utilizing the exterior and interior progressions, the team was able to conduct regular, comprehensive OAC meetings remotely, walking the site and responding to RFI’s and conflicts without leaving their desk. The estimated savings in travel costs alone were over $50K for the life of the project. Thereafter, on that same job, the PM further reported countless savings by being able to readily combat claims of voided warranties with the Multivista system.
An insurance company tried to deny an expensive claim for massive amounts of copper piping stolen after the GC had installed it.
